Kevin Elsby FRPS
I spent a career as a family doctor but I have been a naturalist since an early age. Over the years my initial interest in birds has expanded to encompass pretty well anything in the natural world. I have been lucky enough to travel extensively in pursuit of wildlife and have visited all the continents and I have a Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation.
In my spare time I am a guide for Naturetrek (especially on photography themed tours), and have worked as a naturalist and guide on several expedition ships to the polar regions. In addition to this I am regularly invited to speak on wildlife and photography on ‘conventional’ cruise ships around the world.
I am an FRPS and am immediate past chairman of the RPS Nature Group. I sit on the distinctions panel for nature with the RPS. I also have my own website (www.wildlifeontheweb.co.uk) which illustrates many of my favourite images. When I am not travelling, I enjoy photographing the diverse wildlife to be found in my adopted county of Norfolk.
